I’m deep in rehearsal for the SCDA Festival of One Act Plays that happens this weekend.
It’s been a hectic six weeks, but we have a damn good play to put on (I’ve just been helping this year, not directing as I’ve done for the last two years). Hmmm, perhaps that has something to do with it?
Anyway, I honestly haven’t had the time to write a blog this week, what with two jobs on, coursework and the play’s final week of rehearsals, so … instead, I’ve decided to highlight a poem that shows why I thank my lucky stars I am a native English speaker.
I’m sure you know it, but if not you can thank me later.
What a marvelous poem — it illustrates *beautifully* why English is so maddening to learn (and teach). Thank you for the chuckles. And CONGRATULATIONS on staging a new play! I’m sure it would be just as excellent whether you were in the director’s chair or not. 🙂 Break a leg!
Thank you!
I’m just back from the first night … Our Juniors won their section. Fingers crossed for tomorrow night 😄
I’m trying to find an emoji for crossed fingers … but I’m drawing a blank! So instead I’ll give you a Vulcan “live long and prosper,” 🖖and a non-denominational prayer 👋. 🙂
That totally works for me 😂🖖
Yaaaay we won 😄🏆
YAY!! Congratulations to you and your cast and crew!!
Thank you! 😄🏆🏆🏆🎭
